Working with Nature

 

Branding, Website Design, Photography, EDM and Printed Pieces.

 

A small farm targeting niche markets needed a brand that worked over multiple businesses, from free-range eggs to soil consulting. First and foremost, they needed clients to know they were working with nature to produce good food.

Leveraging a wide range of media in both the print and digital space, this ever-evolving brand has expanded my imagination over numerous projects.

We started with a new brand. They loved the idea of a stamp design, just like back in the old days before you needed fancy packaging to sell produce. 

When we were settled with the logo we started on labelling for egg cartons. They wanted eggs to look as good as a box of chocolates, so that's what we did.

Another branch of their business is a soils course and consultancy. An inexpensive brochure was needed to hand out at conventions so we created a tri-fold we could easily order from online printers.

Various signage, postcards, flyers and EDM banners followed. All needed to carry the consistency of the brand message and also communicate the different facets of the business.

When they finally decided that their online presence needed more attention I jumped in. First, we needed to consolidate the plentiful information housed there and establish proper information hierarchy. I consolidated and copy-edited the entire site. Then I set to work bringing their brand alive visually.

I was lucky enough to go on-site one Spring while the farm looked particularly lush and take photos to use in our projects. Some of the website has stock imagery, but many, including the banner images, are real, proprietary images.
