  • Planned and executed pre-season training for operations and locale familiarisation.

  • Led by example in providing top-notch service to international guests.

  • Utilised Google Docs and proprietary software for a variety of tasks.

Peace House Hostels - May 2017 - November 2018

Hostel Manager - Osaka, Japan - Full Time

  • Oversaw the general day to day operations of a 70 bed Japanese hostel.

  • Managed 8-10 staff; roster construction, training, team building and motivation.

  • Created fun, interactive processes, procedures and signage.

  • Made sure we didn't run out of the essentials.

  • Event planning for guests and staff. Always there to kick karaoke night off!

2020 Short course UX & UI Design

Studying foundations of user experience design and the visuals that make this shine. I now apply UX to all my design, from branding to web. 

2011 Short Course Photography

This course introduced me to the manual functions on DSLR cameras, showed me how to get the results I wanted and tell a story with a snapshot.

2009 Certificate IV Graphic Design

The certificate IV course gave me a solid foundation in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop while developing my conceptual design skills. I was taught brand development and maintenance, correct typography practices, typesetting, digital painting, photo editing, designing and preparing documents for print. 

My Diploma developed my conceptual skills and knowledge of design theory. I obtained an advanced understanding of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and was recommended by my teacher as a tutor for other students.

2008 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

I was selected for this week-long seminar to learn team building, leadership, personal development and career planning.

2007 Certificate II Visual Arts

This course developed my artistic skills over a variety of mediums including clay sculpture, charcoal, pencil, oil and acrylic paints.

2007 Cert. III Business Administration

Producing workplace documentation, data entry, bookkeeping, time management and effective work practices.

2006 Australian Drivers License

Current: Class C + International Permit
